Turnitin is the university's plagiarism detection service, a cloud-based solution which is integrated with the Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).

Turnitin checks submitted documents against its database and the content of other websites to identifying similarities with existing sources.

Features and Benefits

  • Integrated in the Moodle platform, and can be accessed worldwide
  • Students can also use it without penalties, to submit drafts and learn to avoid plagiarism and improve their writing.
  • Effective formative and summative student feedback is given through the Feedback Studio which includes tools such as quick marks, feedback summary, and marking rubrics.
