Joanna joined the 秋葵视频 in October 2023, as a Senior Lecturer in Events Management. Previous to joining Greenwich, Joanna worked at London South Bank University as the Associate Head of Division for Marketing, Tourism, Events and Hospitality, and as a Senior Lecturer where she led on modules across Events and Entertainment Management, Tourism and Hospitality, and delivered on the Help to Grow programme as an expert speaker.

Joanna brings her extensive industry background into her teaching and research practice, having worked for 17+ years across a number of business and events industry sectors however, her main focus has been in the development and management of arts, cultural, creative industries and 3rd sector, festivals, events, projects and organisations.

Joanna holds a PGCert in Higher Education Teaching and Learning, and her doctoral research focuses on a critical pedological approaches to events management education. She is passionate about the development of inclusive and accessible teaching and learning practices. Joanna was voted on to the Executive Committee of the Association for Event Management Educators (AEME) in July 2024, for which she also leads the Special Interest Group for Teaching and Learning. Joanna works closely with colleagues from AEME in championing work towards policy and recognition for the Event Management programmes in Higher Education across the UK.
