Surabil Sudarshan

Surabil is a Teaching Fellow in Data Analytics and Digital Marketing at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ Business School and Programme leads the MA in Strategic Advertising and Marketing Communications. With over 22 years of industry experience, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise to his role.
Surabil holds an MBA, an MSc in Information Systems, a Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Professional member of the British Computer Society (BCS). He is a certified Mental Health Champion (MHFA England), promoting mental well-being within academic and professional environments.
Passionate about integrating practice-based and research-led teaching, Surabil advocates for experiential learning, emphasising learning through practical application. His interests span Data Analytics, Data-Driven marketing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Marketing, with a focus on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
Surabil leads modules for the Masters and MBA programmes, has led curriculum designs, played an instrumental role in programme design and taught in both Engineering and Business schools, leveraging his industry experience to enhance employability opportunities.
Prior to academia, Surabil built and led technology and marketing teams, gaining over twenty years of industry experience in Business Intelligence (BI), Business Analytics, Project Management, Product Development and Business Technology Consulting across various sectors. In his previous role as a Senior Business Technology Consultant, he played a key role in boosting growth for small businesses.
Surabil specialises in Business Intelligence (BI) and Digital Marketing while researching Artificial Intelligence (AI) language models.
