Dr Nadya Belenky
Senior Lecturer in Public Health
Dr Belenky is a Senior Lecturer within the Public Health programme at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ, a position she has held since 2021. Originally from the United States, Dr Belenky was trained as an epidemiologist and health services researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her MSPH and PhD. Her research focuses on health service access and health inequalities, primarily in people living with HIV in the US, but more recently focusing on a range of chronic conditions. She is delighted to be teaching modules on statistics and epidemiology, as well as introductory public health topics, and is always looking for new ways to apply educational technology to further students’ mastery of complex subjects. In addition to teaching and research, she serves as a personal tutor to the MSc students on the Global Public Health course, and she spends her free time running in Hampstead Heath and trying to learn how to play traditional Irish fiddle music.
