Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering

Dr Salehi is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering and the Programme Leader for the Chemical Engineering discipline at the 秋葵视频. He joined the university in April 2018 as a Research Fellow with the Wolfson Centre.

Prior to his roles at Greenwich University, Dr Salehi was a Research Associate at the Biomass Technology Centre (BTC) of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He earned his MSc from Lund University and his PhD from the University of Salerno, where he conducted ground-breaking research on the evaluation of powder flow properties under low consolidation.

With extensive experience spanning several years in particulate material technology and chemical engineering, Dr Salehi has authored over 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers in high-impact journals. His current research focuses on enhancing particulate material handling, advancing additive manufacturing techniques, air quality monitoring, and developing sustainable practices in the paper and pulp industries.

Research / Scholarly interests

Dr Salehi's research interests lie at the intersection of chemical engineering and particulate material technology. He focuses on understanding and optimising the handling of particulate materials, exploring their flow properties, and enhancing processes in various industrial applications. A significant aspect of his work involves additive manufacturing, where he investigates the behaviour of powders during processing to improve product quality and efficiency.

Additionally, Dr Salehi is dedicated to addressing pressing environmental challenges. His research includes studying air quality and its implications for public health, as well as developing innovative strategies to minimise waste in the paper and pulp industries. By integrating sustainable practices into traditional manufacturing processes, he aims to contribute to the development of more eco-friendly technologies.
