What you will study
To ensure our courses are at the forefront of innovation, evolving employer demands, and industry development, this course is currently in the final stages of a review. The structure set out below - and the list of modules - is indicative only and it is possible that there may be some changes to this information.
We expected the review to be concluded by late September 2024 and will confirm with all students joining from Sept 2025 when this course profile is updated to reflect any changes.

About the course team
Welcome to our MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management. Your teaching team includes accomplished lecturers and practitioners with vast experience in the HR and management professions. The core faculty contributing to the programme is Academic MCIPD professionally qualified. The teaching team nurture strong links with the Centre for Research on Work and Employability (CREW) and work closely with CIPD and industry.

How you will learn
Teaching
In a typical week, learning takes place through a combination of lectures and seminars. You'll be able to discuss and develop your understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller group sessions.

Outside of timetabled sessions, you'll need to dedicate time to self-study to prepare for coursework, presentations and exams. Our Stockwell Street library and online resources will support your further reading and research.

Overall workload
Your overall workload consists of contact hours (lectures, seminars, etc), independent learning, and assessments. For full-time students, the overall workload should be roughly equivalent to a full-time job. For part-time students, this will reduce in proportion with the number of modules you are studying.
