Teacher, Tudor Court Primary School

I will always be thankful for my Greenwich experience and am glad I enjoyed such a fond and positive experience there.

Memories of Greenwich

As soon as I walked around Greenwich, I had a good feeling and knew it was where I wanted to study. The greenery and relaxed atmosphere are what swayed me the most and I knew it had a great reputation which made my choice an easy one.

I give great credit to my lecturers, who made it fun and were genuinely nice people, and those who you look up to and learn from. Most of the lecturers were brilliant. Special mentions to Roger McDonald, who made me fall in love with reading and English, and Chris Ball who was the most helpful and inspiring man. Also, Kat Vallely and Janet Morris, who you could always go to in need of support or just a general chat and they would be there to listen and give advice. I wouldn't be where I am now without them.

Life after Greenwich

I now teach a Year 6 class at Tudor Court Primary School, which is where I undertook my second and third placements. The placements here were brilliant and have moulded me into the teacher I am today. Both of my mentors on placement were so helpful and kind and I was very lucky to meet the people I did. I also met a wonderful headteacher who gave me the job I have now.

I would recommend the course for anyone wanting to become a primary school teacher. You get to meet some brilliant people and make good friends. The course is challenging in many ways, but the reward (having your very own class of children that rely and depend on you and that I get to teach every day) is so worth everything that came before it.
