Financial Accountant, PE Power Ghana Ltd (Amandi Energy IPP

Studying at Greenwich has been the foundation of my career progress. It was worth all the sacrificesand has given me the confidence to interact with a lot of multinational companies in Ghana.

Memories of Greenwich

I made lifetime friends in Greenwich and also love the serene environment, especially our hangout at Cutty Sark. The Library was a place I enjoyed visiting, while I also valued the friendly nature of the lecturers. This was especially true of Professor Leslie Catchpowle, who was of immense help to me during my studies.

I was encouraged to study Accounting and Finance at the University and, in hindsight, this was valuable advice and contributed to the wellbeing of my career. I will forever be grateful to the Business School.

My Snapshot represents a day of celebration, that I chose to appreciate life and how far I have come after the completion of my studies abroad.

Life after Greenwich

The MSc Accounting and Finance programme has been the focal point of my career. I have become a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghanaas well as Associate Member of CIMA UK, which qualifies me to be a Chartered Global Management Accountant of AICPA.

Since completing my studies, I have work as a Fund Accountant and rose to become the Group Head of Investment at Metropolitan Ghana which includes Metropolitan Life Insurance, Metropolitan Pension Trustees and Metropolitan Health Insurance. I later became a Financial Consultant in the oil and gas industry.

Currently, I am the Financial Accountant of PE Power Ghana Ltd. I also sit as the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Data Protection Commission, Ghana.
