Treasurer, Greenwich Labour Party

The Drill Hall library at the Medway campus was my second home. I spent so much of my time there, I’m surprised they didn’t ask me to pay rent!

Memories of Greenwich

I selected this image from my graduation day for my Snapshot. When my father graduated (he also studied at Greenwich) he was given some words of advice from the then Chancellor, “Stay focused, never lose motivation”. These were words that I held onto throughout my studies.

I enjoyed spending time at the Drill Hall Library. It was such a good place to revise, study and socialize with your friends or meet new people. It's historic as the longest library in Europe (it was built in 1902) and I was privileged enough to spend my university years inside the library learning and shaping my future. I still visit it from time to time to further my research or to have some peace whilst reading.

Life after Greenwich

Since graduating I have been working in and around London as a locum administrator for multiple GP practices. This has increased my knowledge gained from the university within sports science and also my customer service skills, my character and my mentality. I came across various characters in different settings which I quickly adapted to. My adaptation enabled individuals such as the public and my colleagues to gain the best service out of me to produce great results at work.

This year (2020) I became the Treasurer of Greenwich Labour Party, which is a massive role as I will be working as part of campaigns of various Councillors within the Greenwich borough. I’m also active in the local community, taking part in giving advice and ideas towards new and existing ventures.
