Memories of Greenwich
Although I was an avid gardener before beginning my degree, the practical side of commercial horticulture and the growing techniques were all new to me. Putting my classroom learning to the test was a fulfilling experience.
Life after Greenwich
During my studies I volunteered, found work experience and took on paid positions to give myself the greatest amount of knowledge as I followed my new career path. After graduating, I took on a few different commercial horticulture positions, trying to find exactly what inspires me before landing my current job as an Assistant Glasshouse Manager.
I think that it’s incredibly important to get as much hands-on experience as you possibly can while you’re still studying, and my degree helped me to do this. You will then have an impressive CV and be strides ahead of your competition in the job market.
