The thing I miss the most about Greenwich is the welcoming atmosphere, the culture, and access to a range of social and professional opportunities provided by the University.

Memories of Greenwich

My Greenwich Snapshot takes me back to a particularly memorable time as I chose to have a graduation photoshoot despite the fact that I was unable to experience a physical graduation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The reason I did this was to capture my last moments at Greenwich and to reminisce on my personal growth over the course of 3 years. I also purchased the cap to showcase the 2020 sign in order to represent both the class and year of 2020 as we faced many ups and downs yet continue to hold a glimpse of hope for the future.

My fondest memories of Greenwich include studying at Queen Anne court, catching the Avery Hill bus and relaxing at Greenwich Park in the summertime. The views from Greenwich Park overseeing the Canary Wharf skyline were a breath-taking experience. I decided to study at Çï¿ûÊÓƵ as it is offered plenty of networking opportunities for its students. I simply loved the multi-cultural environment, student interactions as well as extra-curricular activities that were available. Most sectors and jobs in the real world require undertaking and managing small to big scale projects hence, I chose Business as it is a subject area that helps develop skills and expertise that can be transferred into several workplaces.

The course was informative and covered a broad range of topics including Project Management, Information Systems and Consultancy. I gained an insight into various business models and theoretical concepts that can be applied to case studies. What I enjoyed most about the course was practically working within teams to evaluate business scenarios as well as working alongside a real-life small business (SME) to analyse their business strategies and provide them with personalised recommendations.

Life after Greenwich

I am currently undertaking an MSc in Digital Marketing in Aberdeen following. I chose this degree as it includes elements of marketing within businesses, however, applies more of a digital approach. This is quite valuable in today’s era where many businesses utilise social media and analytical tools to promote their business as well as analyse consumer interaction.

My goal for the future is to secure a graduate role in Marketing or Consultancy in order to optimise business operations and bring value to various stakeholders. My time at Greenwich has helped me get to where I am today by enhancing my academic knowledge alongside boosting my transferable skills which I will incorporate within future workplaces.
